located in Yuma, Arizona nestled between Phoenix and San Diego.
Yuma features extraordinary outdoor activities from tubing on the Colorado River to off-roading at the Buttercup Sand Dunes.
Our location produces hard boiled eggs for a vast number of both retail and food service customers.
Responsibilities:
POSITION
Summary:
Ensures that all policies, procedures, and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed, and complied with uniformly, to reduce product and process variability.
Ensures regulatory Compliance.
Oversees the application of food safety standards in the food industry.
Especially proficient in the adherence of quality standards throughout every phase of food preparation and distribution.
Specializes in developing and implementing food safety processes.
This position has the responsibility to always comply with Safety work rules as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
o Assumes personal responsibility to insure a safe and healthy workplace for everyone.
Adheres to all safety policies/procedures and incorporates safety and health in all job's duties/tasks.
o Adheres to safe work practices, follows GMP's, maintains sanitary conditions and ensures that product quality is maintained.
Reports any conditions or practices that may adversely affect employee safety or food safety/quality to management immediately.
o Provides leadership in the development, training, execution, and verification/validation of all quality systems.
o Ensures compliance to all regulatory, customer, and corporate programs.
Leads and participates in regulatory, customer, and internal audits.
Provides leadership in the development, training and maintenance of the plant Food Safety and Quality programs.
o Comprehensive knowledge of GFSI standards.
o Maintains consistent communication and fosters teamwork between all local personnel, departments, and shifts.
o Primary contact for internal and external customers.
o Provides leadership to help ensure a safe work environment throughout the plant.
o Maintains consistent communication and fosters teamwork between all local personnel, departments, and shifts, as well as other company locations and external customers and resources.
o Ensures company policies and procedures are fairly administered between departments and shifts.
o Responsible for developing annual Quality and Sanitation budgets and managing cost control throughout the calendar year.
o Champions the use of Quality Improvement Tools, Lean Manufacturing, and Root Cause Analysis.
o Responsible for developing and monitoring plant sanitation programs to ensure a safe and wholesome product supply.
o Strong SPC background to manage the collection, trending, and reporting of data to identify root cause and areas of opportunity including but not limited to key product attributes, shelf life, and productivity while maintaining quality.
o Provides leadership to help ensure a safe work environment throughout the plant.
Adheres to all safety policies and procedures.
o Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained.
Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
o In absence, FSQ supervisor will cover responsibilities.
o Fulfill duties of FSQ supervisor and coordinator in the event of an absence of either position.
Responsible for arranging coverage for any FSQ position.
o Always ensures regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
o Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field.
o 5
years' supervisory or managerial experience in a food plant manufacturing environment within an to include quality systems responsibilities.
o Must have excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills.
o Able to develop and motivate salaried and hourly personnel.
o Able to work overtime, weekends, and off shifts as required or deemed necessary.
o Experience or knowledge of all applicable food industry related quality systems.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
o Completed PCQI trainingo SQF Edition 9.
0o Certified HACCP Managero Internal Auditor training Recommended Skills Financial Management Food Preparation Food Safety Interpersonal Skills Leadership Lean Manufacturing Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
